Brigitte Bruna lives and works in a small town in North Central Kansas. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas; majoring in Graphic Design and Painting.  She has been working mostly in contract design work but is currently shifting to a more studio-based practice. Portraiture has always been a driving for in her work, capturing the complexity of people in one image. Being a self taught knitter has been rewarding and has opened up new avenues to her studio work. She has a variety of hobbies - running half marathons, enjoying the outdoors with her boyfriend, Chase, by kayaking, camping, biking and finding a good book. Her hair is always a different color of the rainbow.
